Growing-up in a strict Catholic environment but also exposed to the African Santeria religion, many times I watched in silence, curiosity and amazement how my step-father, a brilliant Babalao at the time, manage to have everyone eating from the palm of his hand with a few strokes of his conch shells.  He knew the power of “curiosity” and people came from far away places, including dignitaries from foreign countries, to have their conch shells read by my stepfather, who, as I said before …. was brilliant.  He was a brilliant marketer, he was a brilliant business man, and he knew curiosity will keep them coming.
