He also served as the VP of Research and Technology at Lockheed Martin, where he was responsible for technical solutions, strategic partnerships, global innovation centers, research and development, and emerging technology planning. Throughout his career at Lockheed Martin, he occupied various executive-level positions, including Engineering VP, R&D VP, CTO, and CIO, overseeing enterprise-wide solutions for key customers.
Dr. Land has a rich professional history, having worked for notable companies such as IBM and Loral. Beyond his professional endeavors, he has taken on leadership roles in volunteer capacities. He served as the Capitol Technology University Board Chairman, Prince George’s Community College Foundation Board Chairman, Hispanic Information Technology Executive Council Board Director, Potsdam University Board Trustee, Syracuse University Engineering & Computer Science College Dean’s Leadership Council member, Cyber Maryland Advisory Board Member, Washington DC CIO Executive Committee Chair, and World Economic Forum Member.
Outside of his professional and volunteer roles, Dr. Land has made significant contributions to education, endowing three forever scholarships, and helping launch an all-girls school in Nakuru, Kenya. In his role as the CEO and CTO of an innovative startup company specializing in enterprise healthcare Risk Management, Dr. Haden A. Land handles a diverse set of responsibilities. Drawing on skills perfected over his career in support of the war fighter domains of air, land, sea, space, and cyber, he finds strong applicability to the bio-related domain.
Dr. Land attributes his success to a combination of working hard and smart. His business journey involved various family relocations and extensive business travel during the initial stages of his professional career. As he progressed, he gained a reputation for solving some of the most challenging problems, whether in technology/engineering implementation, research/development innovation, or management/leadership excellence, both domestically and internationally.
Balancing professional and personal life can be challenging, and Dr. Land employs a refined approach he refers to as life mapping. He has mentored many individuals in applying this approach.
