Danny Van den Dries was a promising artist - He passed away in 2006, when he was only 48 years old.He lived and worked to the rhythm of his emotions and liked to drink a glass or two. This is one of his larger works, made with oil paint: 105cm x 150cm. Very decorative. Ideal as an entourage in a farm or catering facility. With a beautiful, undamaged sleek frame. Signed on the bottom left, see photo.A permanent collection of his work can be found in the Maurus Moreelshuis in Mechelen. Danny drew since childhood. He did this by copying cartoon characters. He grew into an artist with a smooth style and loose wrist, who translated all kinds of simple things from everyday life on the canvas. Through the years, Danny developed his own style. After secondary school, Danny wanted to study interior design, but soon noticed that this direction was not for him. He then went from draw to painting on canvas. At the Mechelse Academy he was taught by Jef Van Grieken, Miek Mariën, Maurits Van den Dries and Edwig Goyvaerts, from 1980.Because of his professional activities he could not finish the academy, but continued drawing in his spare time. He would later return to the academy to specialise in etching and lithography. Large artwork: 105 cm x 150 cm. Very decorative. With a beautiful, undamaged sleek frame.Signed on the bottom left.May be picked up or delivered in consultation.
