Thanksgiving Day 2022- Happy Thanksgiving Dinner

 Thanksgiving is an annual holiday in the United States and Canada that celebrates the past year's harvest and fertility. Americans generally believe that Thanksgiving is modeled after a harvest festival organized by English settlers (the Pilgrims) and the Plymouth Wampanoag in 1621. The American holiday is particularly legendary and iconic, and the traditional Thanksgiving meal often includes turkey, breadcrumbs, potatoes, cranberries, and pumpkin pie.  According to the National Turkey Federation, about 90 percent of Americans today eat fried, grilled or deep-fried poultry on Thanksgiving. Other traditional dishes include dolma, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Volunteering is a big part of Thanksgiving, and communities often host free dinners for the underprivileged.

 The holidays are the busiest time of the year when it comes to family vacations.

Thanksgiving began in Plymouth when some of the settlers "beat up" their turkeys, but "killed their turkeys one day, that they might find something easier than geese or ducks." Time hunting... Colonists in New England regularly celebrated Thanksgiving. It is a day to pray and thank God for such blessings as military victories and the end of drought.
