 Transport in France is remarkable and also the best in Europe. The French road network is the most used and also one of the strongest networks in the world. Paris designed as the center and web of transportation in France. All modes of transportation are largely developed in France .


Railway

The French railway system is one of the best in Europe. The nationalization of the railroads happened before World War II. French railways played a very important role in World War II. They used railroads to transport many cargoes beyond Germany. France has superfast trains like Train à Grande Vitesse (TGV) and Thalys too. TGV train is France's homegrown high-speed train, capable of traveling at speeds of up to 320 km/h (200 mph). The number of passengers in the trains is low to make travel easier for lower income groups .


Watercourses / Sewers

The French waterways transport system is the largest in Europe. It roughly covers a network of about 8,500 kilometers. France is made up of both natural and man-made waterway networks. French rivers include the Loire, Seine, and Rhône, which are some of the longest in the country. French waterways are managed by the VNF (Voies navigables de France) network . The VNF manages approximately 6,700 kilometers (4,200 mi) of waterways network. There are two other significant waterways that do not come under the VNF. Those waterways are managed by local governments.


Taxis in France

Another widely used mode of transportation is Taxis. Some strict rules imposed on taxis such as passenger capacity and working hours. There are no private minicabs in France. Cabs in France operate on the same system and have the same tariffs in each region. Although, many taxi drivers take advantage of these rules and overcharge locals for their journey. Cab drivers have the option to charge more and take the fourth passenger or they can also refuse.


Air travel



Air Travel in France is the most used country. There are about 478 existing airports in the country. About 288 airports have paved runways and the rest have unpaved runways. . It is also the main hub of Air France airline which is one of the largest airlines in the country. The airline has its headquarters in Tremblay-en-France. Air France is also the fifth largest airline in the world.
