Nykaa clocks 8 lakh orders on day 1 of its annual ‘Pink Friday’ sale

Online beauty and fashion retailer Nykaa’s annual beauty sale ‘Pink Friday’ recorded over 8 lakh orders on day 1 with over 400 orders every single minute. This rate has gone up by 40% in comparison to last year’s Pink Friday sale. 

According to the company, the purchase of makeup rose by 12 times, skincare by 12, and haircare by 9 times. Shoppers from tier 2 and tier 3 cities added to 57% of the purchases. Additionally, day 1 of the sale saw a 37% growth compared to last year with more than 10 million visits, the company claimed. Barring metro cities, a majority of the orders came from Chandigarh, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ghaziabad, and Jammu. 

Nykaa’s exclusive and unmissable brand offers led to the omnichannel consumer-tech company clocking a growth of 34% in unique visitors amounting to 5.8 million. 

A Nykaa spokesperson credited this phenomenal response to the Pink Friday sale to its leadership in the beauty segment. 

“Along with unique deals, our unparalleled curations and interactive experiences such as watch and buy have driven extremely high engagement. The sale saw luxury brands and make-up scooped off our endless aisles at a significantly higher rate than non-sale days. Overall, we are observing that our offers are being received well by consumers and we are looking forward to offering them the best deals throughout Pink Friday,” the spokesperson added.

The Pink Friday sale will go on till midnight on November 28 on Nykaa’s website, app, and across all Nykaa stores.
