Lotus Herbals acquires 20% in D2C nutraceuticals and health supplements start-up Yogic Secrets

Cosmetics and beauty products mogul Lotus Herbals has acquired a 20% stake in Gurugram-based D2C nutraceuticals, and health supplement startup Yogic Secrets Healthcare. An undisclosed amount of strategic funding was also raised by Yogic Secrets from the family office of Lotus Herbals.

This is Lotus Herbals’ fifth investment in emerging brands in the beauty and wellness space. The additional capital will enable Yogic Secrets to scale up operations in India and also expand globally in the USA, the UK, and Australia.

“We have been scouting innovative and clinically validated herbal solutions to combat modern-day health issues. Given people’s growing interest and affinity towards natural and alternative options, we firmly believe that research-based nutraceuticals are a tremendous opportunity globally,” Nitin Passi, chairman and managing director, Lotus Herbals said.

Anil Khandelwal, Managing Director, Yogic Secrets further added that investment from Lotus Herbals will help the company scale up to provide preventive and curative healthcare.

This acquisition comes after Lotus Herbals invested in clean beauty marketplace Vanity Wagon, just last month, in pre-series funding. Lotus Herbals also acquired a 25% stake in clean beauty brand Conscious Chemist, a 100% acquisition of luxury Ayurveda brand SoulTree and acquired a strategic stake in dermaceuticals brand Fixderma.

Lotus Herbals has six D2C brand web stores apart from its retail footprint across 700 cities with over 1,000 distributors.
