Specialist Family Law solicitor Adrian Silk is relocating to Larcomes’ Waterlooville office at the start of December to head up the firm’s family law practice in Waterlooville.

Adrian previously worked at Larcomes’ in his home city of Portsmouth, where he has been based since joining the firm in August 2023.

Adrian has almost 30 years of experience in family law. He qualified in 1995 and has been practising as a solicitor for the last 28 years.

He specialises in all areas of family law, including matrimonial and child law, and throughout his career has represented many different clients on a wide range of legal issues, including divorce, grandparents’ rights, and financial remedy disputes.

Before joining Larcomes, Adrian ran his own law firm, representing people from all walks of life and giving practical advice with a supportive approach.

Adrian is looking forward to continuing to support clients with their family law matters following his move to the Waterlooville office on 4 December 2023.

“I am looking forward to further developing the advice, support and representation that Larcomes offers to our family clients in and around Waterlooville.

“I am pleased to be part of an expanding matrimonial and child law team, and to be heading up our family law department at our Waterlooville office. We offer a full range of family law services and representation to the community in Waterlooville,” he said.

Along with Larcomes’ other family law solicitors, Adrian is accredited by Resolution, a group of family law professionals who believe in a non-confrontational approach to resolving family issues.

Adrian reflects the broader Larcomes’ family law team values in attempting to find a non-contentious solution to family disputes wherever possible.

“Most family lawyers will suggest trying family mediation first to try to resolve an issue if the circumstances are right,” says Adrian.

“If it is possible to avoid court proceedings, do so, as litigation can be costly, stressful, and drawn out. However, sometimes court proceedings are essential to ensure a case does not drift and a result is achieved.”

He will head up the firm’s family Waterlooville office, and fellow family specialist Sandra Phillips, who has been at Larcomes since 1999, will continue as Head of Family at the Portsmouth office.
