Erling Haaland is one of the most sought-after strikers in world football, not only for clubs. Brands also want him.

Manchester City‘s No.9 finished his contract with Nike in January 2022 and, since then, an auction had been opened to get his services.

Nike have finally re-signed him after a hard-fought battle with Adidas and Puma. “Haaland’s unprecedented rise in European football, coupled with an astounding record goal scoring pace, cements his stamp on the future of the sport,” the US brand ‘boasts’ in its statement.

“Haaland’s commitment to holistic fitness, honoured in his famous celebrations, enhances his strengths on the field: goal instinct, power, positioning, pace and accuracy,” it continues.

Haaland was looking for a financially advantageous contract, but comfort and satisfaction with the product were always the priority, according to The Athletic.

The former Molde, Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund player joins a Nike Football team that already includes players such as Kylian Mbappe, Alexia Putellas, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ada Hegerberg, Marcus Rashford, Leah Williamson, Kevin De Bruyne, Megan Rapinoe and Sam Kerr.
