At a recent OTT launch of its upcoming slate, the makers announced a soul-stirring entertainer titled Jogi and featuring Diljit Dosanjh in the titular role.

Jogi unravels the story of a resilient friendship and courage in the times of adversity is set in Delhi in 1984. Jogi is a thrilling, emotional journey about the fighting spirit of three unified friends.

Diljit, who virtually attended the launch, shared, “Playing the role of Jogi has been one of the most fulfilling experiences and I am excited for my digital debut. The entire team has worked really hard to bring to life this beautiful story, and I want to thank producer-director Ali Abbas Zafar and Himanshu Mehra for trusting me with this role. I am looking forward to audiences watching our film and showing their love.”

Besides Diljit Dosanjh, Jogi stars Kumud Mishra, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, Hiten Tejwani, and Amyra Dastur, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Himanshu Mehra and Ali Abbas Zafar. The film will premiere exclusively on OTT on September 16, 2022.

Diljit, who has paved his own path in Punjabi films, has also made his prominent name in Hindi films such as Phillauri, Udta Punjab, and Good Newwz, to name a few.
