PROBLEM
Protection was needed for Carbon Steel paint cans containing a sealant used on equipment in nuclear power plants. The cans had to be stored in cardboard boxes in refrigerated containers. The cardboard boxes retained moisture and held it against the metal containers. The brand new cans were rusted in a matter of weeks due to the condensation cycles they were exposed to.
APPLICATION
Cortec® VpCI®-126 bags provided a moisture barrier as well as VpCI® multi-metal protection.
CONCLUSION
The bags provided protection, and were still going strong after six months.
