[02-13-2024] Los Angeles County, CA – Man Killed After Being Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle in Sawtelle Neighborhood

A man was killed after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Sawtelle Neighborhood, Los Angeles County, on Tuesday night, February 13, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash took place around 11:00 p.m. in the 1900 block of Beloit Avenue.

Authorities stated that the driver in a dark-colored vehicle was traveling northbound when he struck the pedestrian who was walking in the street. The victim, identified as a man between 30 and 35 years old, was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police said that the motorist failed to stop and continued northbound on Beloit Avenue before negotiating a U-turn, then fled without rendering aid as required by the law.

No information about the vehicle or the driver was available. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact LAPD West Traffic Division detectives at 213-473-0234 or 877-LAPD-247.
