A pedestrian was severely injured after being struck by a vehicle in Hillcrest, San Diego, on Wednesday morning, February 14, 2024.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the collision happened around 10:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of University Avenue.

The pedestrian was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital with severe injuries. The identity of the victim remains undisclosed.

It is unknown if the driver stayed at the scene or not. The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the collision.
