An Uber driver was killed, and a passenger was injured after a two-vehicle crash involving a hit-and-run in Salinas late Sunday evening, February 11, 2024.

According to the Salinas Police Department, the fatal crash occurred at about 11:14 p.m. between North Sanborn Road and Freedom Parkway.

A 53-year-old Uber driver named Jorge T. was declared dead at the scene after colliding with another vehicle. His passenger was transported to Natividad Medical Center in an unknown condition.
