A 23-year-old Modesto motorcyclist was killed following a big rig collision along Highway 132 near Waterford on Friday morning, February 9, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 10:30 a.m., east of Blosson Road.

Authorities stated that a 53-year-old Patterson resident Wayne B. in a 2024 Peterbilt big rig, was heading westbound, moving at low speed while attempting to turn left onto residential property.

Police said that the rider of a 2023 Kawasaki was also heading westbound, approaching the truck from behind. The victim then moved into the eastbound lane and struck the left side of the truck, causing him to be ejected from his motorcycle.

The driver of the truck was not injured, and the name of the rider was not yet disclosed, pending notification of the family.

No further information was released. The investigation is ongoing.
