A female pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Pacheco, Contra Costa County, on Tuesday afternoon, February 6, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 2:29 p.m. between Marsh Drive and Sally Ride Drive, west of Buchanan Field Airport.

Reports indicate that the woman parked her vehicle before she was struck by a Dodge pickup truck while crossing the street to a nearby mobile home park.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity remains undisclosed until her family is notified.

The pickup driver reportedly remained at the scene. The authorities have not released further information about the fatal collision.
