A 62-year-old female bicyclist was killed after a bicycle vs. vehicle collision in Fresno on Monday night, January 29, 2024.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the deadly incident happened at around 7:30 p.m. on Emerson Avenue, near West Avenue.

The police said that the bicyclist, later identified as Christina M., was attempting to cross the road against traffic flow. However, she entered the intersection right when the vehicles on Emerson Avenue were turning west and got struck by one of them.

She was rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after.

No further information was released.
