At least one person was injured in a collision involving two vehicles and a semi-trailer truck in Santa Cruz County on Thursday morning, September 7, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported on the northbound lanes of Highway 17 and Greenwood Drive around 10:00 a.m.

Authorities stated they found one person hurt at the scene. There was no information on the severity of the victim’s injuries. It was unclear whether the victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The vehicle’s wreckage was spread across the road in pictures taken by witnesses. A traffic backup prevented towing trucks from reaching the Accident scene immediately.
