A motorist was injured after a pickup Truck vs. semi-truck collision in Adelanto on Thursday morning, August 24, 2023.

According to the Victor Valley sheriff’s officers, the incident occurred on Highway 395 and Air Expressway at around 5:15 a.m.

A cattle-hauling semi-truck ran through a red light at around 45 mph and collided with a 2019 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck traveling west on Air Expressway. 

The Honda was struck on the driver’s side, knocking the pickup about 20 feet off the road and onto the dirt shoulder on the southbound side of the highway.

The victim was flown to a trauma center with unspecified injuries, while the truck driver was uninjured. None of the cattle were harmed or killed in the crash.

No information was released regarding the identities of the people involved.
