[08-15-2023] Fresno County, CA – 1 Person Hospitalized Following DUI Three-Vehicle Head-on Collision on Dickerson Avenue

A person was hospitalized after a DUI three-vehicle head-on collision in Fresno on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on Dickerson and Central Avenues.

The incident involved a Honda Pilot, a Jeep, and a Ford Focus. The driver of a Honda suddenly swerved in the southbound lanes of Dickenson Avenue. Despite the Jeep’s attempt to avoid the Honda, it still got struck by it.

This resulted in a chain reaction causing the Honda to collide head-on with the Ford Focus. In the aftermath of the collision, the Honda ended up in a cornfield. It was reported that the Honda driver was intoxicated.

The Jeep driver sustained minor injuries and was brought to a local hospital as a precaution.

No information was released regarding the identities of the people involved.
