A woman was killed after a fiery two-vehicle collision in San Bernardino on Saturday morning, July 29, 2023.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred on 9th Street and Del Rosa Drive at around 12:12 a.m.

Carlos G., 22 years old, was traveling east on 9th Street in a Toyota Tacoma and failed to stop for a red light at the intersection. At the same time, a woman in her Lexus sedan was traveling northbound on Del Rosa when Carlos broadsided her, causing her vehicle to catch fire.

The victim died after she was unable to escape her burning vehicle. The Toyota’s driver was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

No information was released regarding the victim’s identity, pending an investigation.
