[07-25-2023] Stanislaus County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Injured Following SUV and Truck Collision Along Interstate 5

One person was killed, and another was injured following an SUV and Truck collision along Interstate 5, Stanislaus County, on Tuesday afternoon, July 25, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened around 1:00 p.m. on northbound I-5, south of Davis Road, between Stuhr Road and Fink Road.

A Subaru SUV driver was traveling southbound when he entered the center median, overturned in the northbound lane, and collided with a Peterbilt truck driver.

The SUV driver was declared dead at the scene and was identified as a 26-year-old man from Arizona. The truck driver was identified as Jose R., a 50-year-old from Los Banos, who sustained minor injuries and was taken to Los Banos Memorial Hospital.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the fatal collision.
