A family heading to a baptism party was driving on W. Taylor Street. Inside their Mazda 6 was Taylor C., the driver and husband of Olivia C., who was 7 months pregnant and was sitting in the back with their 2-year-old daughter in a car seat.

At the same time, a Nissan Sentra was driving in his lane and suddenly started veering into the Mazda 6, colliding with the family head-on.

It was unclear whether other people were injured in the accident, but Olivia suffered the most. She was taken to a local hospital with her uterus severely damaged. The doctor declared that the unborn child had died, probably inside the womb.

In addition to several DUI-related charges, Ezekiel L, 31, the suspect, was arrested for murder and driving under a suspended license unrelated to a previous DUI charge.
