[07-06-2023] Santa Barbara County, CA – 2 People Injured Following Crash Involving Vehicle with Travel Trailer on Highway 1

Two people were injured after a crash involving their vehicle pulling a travel trailer in the Lompoc Valley on Thursday afternoon, July 6, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on the southbound lanes of Highway 1 near the Constellation Road offramp in Vandenberg Village at around 2:30 p.m.

No information was released regarding the events that led to the collision or the identities of the people involved, pending an investigation by the CHP.

Santa Barbara County Fire Department personnel assisted two victims with moderate and minor injuries. AMR ambulance transported the patients to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria after an air ambulance request was canceled.

It is uncertain whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in this incident.
