[07-04-2023] Fresno County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Clovis Fire Department Truck during Emergency Response in Clovis

62-year-old Melchor M. was killed after being struck by a Clovis Fire Department Truck during an emergency response in Clovis on Tuesday night, July 4, 2023.

The Clovis Police Department said the collision occurred around 9:00 p.m. near Clovis and Barstow Avenues.

According to the report, the fire engine was responding to an emergency call and had its lights and sirens activated.

Unfortunately, the fire engine collided with a Pedestrian on the road during its response, resulting in their death.

The California Highway Patrol took over the investigation from the police.
