One person died following a possible two-vehicle DUI collision in Oceanside late Tuesday evening, July 04, 2023.

The Oceanside Police Department reported that the fatal collision occurred around 11:00 p.m. between North Myers Street and Surfrider Way.

There were five individuals involved, and one was declared dead at the scene. The authorities currently withhold the victim’s identity.

It is still unclear if there were any other injuries. Police say this fatal collision might have been speeding and alcohol-related. Further details have yet to be released.
