[06-24-2023] San Diego County, CA – 29-Year-Old Pedestrian Severely Injured After Being Struck by Car in Pacific Beach

A 29-year-old Pedestrian was severely injured after being struck by a car in Pacific Beach, San Diego, on Saturday morning, June 24, 2023.

According to the San Diego police, a car collision occurred at Grand Avenue and Everts Street intersection at approximately 1:46 a.m.

The report said the pedestrian was walking southbound on the eastern side of Grand Avenue and Everts Street intersection when a Honda Accord traveling eastbound in the No. 1 Lane of Grand Avenue struck the individual.

The pedestrian was promptly taken to a nearby hospital to treat serious injuries not considered life-threatening.

The driver of the Honda, a 25-year-old man, did not sustain any injuries in the collision and remained at the scene.

The SDPD Traffic Division is currently conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash. It is unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.
