Two people were killed, and another was injured after a two-vehicle collision along Laurel Avenue, Kings County, on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened around noon between Laurel Ave and Avenal Cutoff.

A Ram pickup truck driver was about to enter an intersection when a Honda driver swerved to avoid hitting the other vehicle. However, the two vehicles collided anyway.

Two Honda passengers were killed at the scene, while a third passenger sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Both drivers were not harmed.

The authorities are currently investigating the fatal collision and have not provided further information.
