[11-06-2022] Sonoma County, CA – DUI Crash in Cloverdale Results in One Death

Police reported that one person was killed following a DUI collision in Cloverdale on Sunday afternoon, November 6, 2022.

According to authorities, the crash occurred around 3:47 p.m. on Geyserville Avenue, just south of Zanzi Lane.

According to reports, a car crashed into a tree, and one passenger was ejected from the vehicle due to the collision.

There were two additional occupants inside the car who fled the scene.

The fire crews arrived on the scene and found the victim had sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead.

The two missing suspects were the subject of a search by law enforcement.

Police identified the two men as the missing driver and passenger from the collision after they were seen walking on Asti and Dutcher Creek roads.

Before being transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for a medical evaluation, the driver was detained.

He was later admitted to the Sonoma County Jail after being discharged from the hospital.

According to the CHP, the driver is charged with DUI, hit-and-run, vehicular manslaughter, and delaying or resisting arrest.
