[09-23-2022] Sonoma County, CA – Fatal Head-On Collision on Rohnert Park Expressway Resulted in One Death

According to the CHP, a Petaluma woman died after a fatal head-on collision on the Rohnert Park expressway on Friday afternoon, September 23, 2022.

The mishap transpired around 1:53 p.m., according to the CHP news release.

They called the police to the collision between the woman’s Honda CRV and a Ford Ranger pickup truck operated by Jorge V., 26, of Turlock.

According to the investigators, Valles had been driving on the opposite expressway side of the Honda.

According to the press release, Valles made an unsafe turning movement to the left, crossed the oncoming lane, and struck the Honda.

Significant injuries were sustained by both drivers, who had to be pulled from their cars and taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

According to the release, the Honda driver passed away as soon as he arrived at the hospital.

The woman’s identity is kept secret until her family is informed.
