[08-11-2022] Orange County, CA – 77-Year-Old Pedestrian Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision in Garden Grove

According to the Garden Grove Police Department, a 77-year-old pedestrian man was struck and killed by a compact car in Garden Grove, and the suspect was arrested in Stanton after fleeing Thursday, August 11, 2022.

According to Sgt. Royce Wimmer of the police department, the fatal collision occurred at 12:06 p.m. in the 9500 block of Lampson Avenue.

The crash is considered a hit-and-run traffic collision involving a black Subaru Impreza.

The victim was found by the police lying in the street with serious injuries. He was taken to a hospital and later declared dead, according to Wimmer.

It was requested that anyone who may have seen this collision call Investigator Mihalik, at 714-741-5925.

Hit-and-Run Accident Statistics

A driver who leaves the scene of a fatal collision is almost always held accountable. As soon as the guilty party is found, they will be brought to justice.
