According to the California Highway Patrol, a 14-year-old Dinuba boy was killed, and three others were injured when the truck he was riding in crashed on Friday morning, July 22, 2022.

According to the authorities, the head-on collision happened along SR-63/Dinuba Blvd. intersection and Marlin Ave. near Ave. 320.

According to the police, the 14-year-old boy in the back seat, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 15-year-old driver and the 14-year-old girl suffered serious injuries and were taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.

A 27-year-old man in the SUV was also injured and taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.

According to the CHP, a Chevrolet Silverado and a Chevrolet Traverse collided with one another and further collided with a parked big rig.

Authorities reported that a 15-year-old boy was driving the stolen pickup with a 14-year-old girl and 14-year-old boy as passengers.

The teen allowed the truck to drift off the road, overcorrected, and collided head-on with an oncoming SUV.

Both vehicles then continued on the parked big rig.

The collision’s cause is still being investigated.
