Man ‘threatened with knife’ at Yeading Walk in Harrow

Residents in the North Harrow and Rayners Lane area have been warned to be cautious when walking through Yeading Walk open space after a man was allegedly threatened with a knife.

The warning came after a man posted on the Harrow Online Group on Facebook, claiming that he was approached by an individual wearing a face mask and wielding a knife while walking through the area.

The man advised people not to walk alone in the area at night.

The incident reportedly occurred between 8:40 and 8:45pm on Monday night (March 27).

The man stated that he was approached by a person who attempted to speak to him before threatening him with a knife. He added that he was fortunate to escape unharmed, but urged others to be careful when walking through the park.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that they received a report of the incident on the afternoon of Tuesday, 28 March.

In a statement, they said: “Police were contacted on the afternoon of Tuesday, 28 March. A male alleged that the previous night he had been approached by a man who tried to speak to him before threatening him with a knife in Yeading Walk, Harrow HA2.

“There have been no arrests; enquiries continue.”

Residents in the area are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities. Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact the police.
