- Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Shahid Latif, suspected to be the mastermind behind the attack on the IAF’Pathankot base in 2016, was shot and killed today by unidentified assailants in a mosque in Daska town of Pakistan’s Sialkot district.
- Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur district observed a total closure, with over 40,000 shops shut, in protest against Karnataka for not releasing Cauvery Water, per the orders of the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA).
- The Government Hospital in Nanded has reported 108 deaths in the last eight days and 11 in just 24 hours.
