- MeitY has sent notices to Social media intermediaries like X, YouTube, and Telegram asking them to remove Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) from their platforms. If they don’t, they would lose “safe harbor under the IT Act” making them punishable for CSAM even if they were not uploaded by them.
