1. The government has called for a Special session of Parliament spanning five days from September 5. Sources in the government say the session could be for bills like One Nation – One Election, Uniform Civil Code (UCC), and Women’s Reservation bills. 

2. Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) said it busted a rave party in Madhapur on Wednesday night and has arrested Telugu film financier K Venkataratna Reddy, Ex-Naval Officer B Balaji, and South Central Railway RPF employee D Murali.

3. A gunfight between Meiti and Kuki-Zo communities along the Churachandpur-Bishnupur border, which began on August 29, has killed eight people.

4. After nearly a month-long dry spell in August, monsoon is expected to revive in September, says IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra. 7. Two people, Pritpal Singh from Punjab and his associate, were arrested for defacing Delhi metro stations with pro-khalistani graffiti. Police said that Pritpal was promised $7000 by the US-based SFJ handler Gurpatwant Singh Pannun to carry out the act.
