These Fast-Food Restaurants are Raising Funds and Awareness Throughout October
One in eight American women and 2.3 million women worldwide suffer from Breast Cancer, according to breastcancer.org. Even men are impacted by this terminal disease. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is recognized every October to increase awareness of the importance of mammogram screenings and raise funds for research.
The history of this annual event goes back to 1985 when it was a week-long awareness campaign by the American Cancer Society (ACS) in partnership with Imperial Chemical Industries; it eventually extended to the month-long recognition we know today.
Many franchise brands engage in charitable initiatives throughout October and do their part by “going pink.” Below are 10 fast-food franchisors engaging in philanthropic efforts for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2023.
