Lancit will Oversee the Commercial Cleaning Franchisor’s Growth

Stratus Building Solutions, a green commercial cleaning and janitorial services franchise, named Rob Lancit vice president of franchise development. With this new role, Lancit will oversee the brand’s growth across North America. Lancit brings nearly three decades of franchising experience to Stratus Building Solutions. He served as vice president of the online division at MFV Expositions, a leading franchise event management company, and founded BeTheBoss.com, an online franchise directory. 

Lancit is excited about the opportunity and looks forward to working with the management team. “When I talked to Doug and the entire leadership team, I saw the passion they have for the business and the respect they have for the master franchisees who are already in the system. These are some of the traits people are looking for when they are considering investing in a franchise, and I am thrilled to be part of this team,” Lancit said. “These men are chock full of integrity, and it’s evident they have the best interest of their clients and franchisees at heart. Lancit’s Love for Franchising   

Lancit’s favorite part of the industry is the opportunity to change people’s lives. “When someone comes to me and I’m able to sit with them and help them into the right business, it’s amazing. When you get a call six months down the line and they say, ‘Thank you, this is the best thing I’ve ever done,’ it just feels great. I have a fun time doing that.”

For aspiring entrepreneurs looking to get into the industry, Lancit urges them to just do it. “You have a much higher chance of success [because] you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. You have a franchisor in most cases who has your best interest at heart and wants you to succeed. And you don’t have to do it alone.” 

Lancit believes a key factor in franchise development is building relationships, especially with prospects. “You have to listen to the prospect. A lot of times when you ask the right questions and listen, a prospect will tell you everything you need to know to help get them across the finish line. You’ve got to start by listening and building relationships.”
