On the 24 August 2023, the Health Minister announced new vaping rules that will come into play over the coming months – But it’s all good, we have you covered, and the impacts will be pretty minimal.
What’s happening with Vape juice in NZ?
It is important to note that through all these changes we will NOT be changing our Vape Juice recipes or formulations in any way.
When it comes to juice; only the product names and labels on the bottles will change. This will be a gradual process and we will keep communication up as these things change, so make sure you are signed up to receive our newsletters.

What’s happening with vape devices in NZ?
There will be a big change in devices. Every device sold to NZ clients in future will have a button, a replaceable/rechargeable battery, and they will need to go to ‘sleep’ after 10 minutes of non-use. That’s a bit of a pain for the user (and we are users too), but unfortunately they are the rules.

KEY DATES FOR THE NEW VAPE REGULATIONS
From 21st December 2023
Disposable products as we currently know them will be gone. We already have replacement devices in the manufacturing line that will allow you to continue to vape as conveniently as possible. All 100% compliant with the new regs.
From 21 March 2024
VAPE JUICE – All vape juices will have been renamed (not reformulated). The new names are only allowed to be made up from a list of 57 supplied words and must be descriptive of the product. That’s all good, we are already on it and you can see what the new names are going to be in the table below.
VAPE DEVICES – All available vape devices will be of the new kind. We already have new products in the manufacturing process and we will still be able to offer you a range of good devices. If you are in Australia (or anywhere outside of NZ) you will still be able to purchase the ‘old style’ devices from www.nzvapor.com/au
