Langley, BC – October 2nd, 2023 – Brendon, a 38-year-old Langley resident, is currently in the semi-finals of the Inked Magazine Cover Contest. If he wins, he will receive a prize and be featured in Inked Magazine.

Brendon has been getting tattooed since he was a teenager. He says that his tattoos are a way for him to express himself and tell his story.

“My tattoos paint the circle of life,” Brendon said. “I have an ocean-themed foot with an octopus, fish, and waves; an upper leg adorned with a lighthouse and a witch; a phoenix on my ribs; stars and planets on my arm; a family crest on my chest; a crow on my ribs; a world on my back; and a bass guitar sleeve on my right arm. These symbols honor nature, family, and life’s wisdom – a living testament to the beauty of self-expression.”

Growing up in Langley, BC, art and music have always been Brendon’s passions. He used to play bass guitar in a local band when he was younger. He went through a heartbreaking breakup with his ex and started singing as it was very therapeutic.

“This competition would also help me with my dreams of being a professional singer,” Brendon said. “I have been taking lessons over the past year and I have been loving it. Getting featured in Inked Magazine and winning this competition will help my dreams of singing professionally.”

If Brendon wins the competition, he plans to use the prize money to finish his back tattoo and start on his right leg. He also wants to use some of the money to put a down payment on his album.

“I have worked hard to build up my social media following and I live stream every day on TikTok @5_fires,” Brendon said. “I managed to build myself up to a combined 70,000 followers on socal media.”
