Fans of Formula One (F1) attending the Dutch Grand Prix from August 25 to 27 will have the opportunity to receive a special digital collectible through the Dutch GP app.

Teun Verheij, the Head of Marketing at Dutch GP, said, “The launch of our digital Collectibles is part of our overall approach in tapping into the new world of fan experiences. We love to interact with our fans and with these collectibles we are giving them something extra as a reminder of a fantastic race festival experience.”

This unique collectible will showcase the Zandvoort racetrack’s iconic sections and the race’s distinctive features. Ticket holders can effortlessly claim their collectibles through the app, with each piece linked to a specific track location.

Organized by the ticketing firm GET Protocol, the initiative aims to introduce Web3 technology seamlessly to fans. By integrating collectibles into the existing Dutch GP app, attendees can enjoy the benefits without needing technical know-how.

These collectibles unveil hidden images, reveal track coordinates, and update in real time on race day, enhancing the F1 experience. To commemorate the Zandvoort circuit’s 75th anniversary, 75 lucky fans will receive an extra unique collectible.

F1’s venture into Web3 technology has been expanding, with previous partnerships involving crypto sponsors and exchanges, as well as NFT initiatives by racing teams. The Dutch GP’s digital collectible launch aligns with F1’s focus on enhancing fan engagement and experiences.
