Episode 1. Risk Se Ishq:

The first episode of a web series called Scam 1992, which is based on the life of Harshad Mehta, a stockbroker who was involved in a massive fraud in the Indian stock market in the 1990s. The episode shows how Harshad started his career as a jobber in the Bombay Stock Exchange and gradually became a successful trader by using insider information and manipulating the market. The episode also introduces Sucheta Dalal, a journalist who received a tip from a bank employee about Harshad’s fraud and decided to investigate it. The episode ends with a cliffhanger, as Sucheta learns that Harshad is behind a scam worth ₹500 crores.

Episode 2. Cobra Killer:

The episode shows how Harshad and his brother Ashwin cleared their debt by selling their family gold and started a consulting firm called Growmore. They used their clients’ funds to invest in the stock market and promised them high returns. They also targeted the tea market, which was affected by the reduced production in Africa. They gained more clients and reputation with the help of Pranav, another trader who supported Harshad. The bank’s fund movements catch the eye of the RBI Governor, who suspects Harshad’s SBI account. He orders the bank to monitor his transactions closely. Harshad tries to protect himself by hiding ₹500 crore from the records.

Harshad pays back most of what he owes to SBI, but Sucheta won’t stop her quest to reveal the ₹500 crore scam. She gets a clue from Bellary. They both have only a day to change the situation.

Episode 7. Dalal Street Ka Dariya:

Venkitarajan learns that the money scam involves many banks and that it is much larger than it seems. The RBI sets up a committee to investigate

Sucheta finds out from Venkatarajan that NHB is part of the scam. She publishes this news and CBI begins to question Pherwani. Harshad is afraid that Pherwani will reveal the truth. Pherwani dies and CBI searches Harshad’s house and arrests him.

Harshad and his lawyer try to make a deal with the government, but it fails. They hold a press conference and announce that Harshad had given ₹1 crore in a briefcase to the Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao for his by-election campaign

Episode 10. Main History Banana Chahta Hoon:

Harshad faces pressure from the CBI and makes a deal with Delhi to withdraw his press statement. His company survives, but his assets are frozen. His partner Bhushan betrays him and sells his shares. The CBI arrests Harshad for a new fraud and he dies of a heart attack in jail. The police leave his body in the police station lobby.
