THIS Saudi prince is the owner of the largest sportfishing vessel in the world

Worth $70 million, the world’s largest sportfishing yacht, “Special One,” belongs to Prince Turki bin Muqerin of Saudi Arabia.

The six decks of Special One are exquisitely designed by the Dutch studio Vripack. According to Luxury Launches, it is longer than an Olympic-sized swimming pool and has a mass so great that it is probably going to outclass the US Navy’s new vessel.

It has a low fishing cockpit aft, high bulwarks, and a longbow. However, as is the case with most royal vessels of this type, the inside are shrouded in secret. Additionally, it is extremely opulent and maximizes the 499 tonnes of capacity.

The largest sportfishing boat in the world also has a lounge, a large galley that can accommodate 12 guests and is staffed by 8 crew members, and a saloon.

“It is well known that the Royal Huisman team appreciates nothing better than the opportunity to address fresh engineering challenges—especially if they come in the form of a unique project concept,” stated Jan Timmerman, chief executive of Royal Huisman.

The marine yacht Special One, built for a wealthy guy as a hobby, puts on quite a show, with MTU engines achieving a top speed of 35 knots.

It’s interesting to note that Project 406, a Royal Huisman motor yacht, was formerly the largest pure sportfishing vessel in the world.
