On the anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s death, Sindh declares a public holiday

A public holiday has been declared by the Sindh government on April 4 in observance of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s “martyrdom anniversary”.

In a statement, the provincial government said, “The government of Sindh has been pleased to declare April 4, 2024, as public holiday throughout the province of Sindh for all government offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of government of Sindh, except those engage in essential services, on occasion of 45th martyrdom of anniversary of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, ex-prime minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.”

Additionally, the provincial government designated April 1st as a public holiday for Christian community members only on the occasion of the “Day After Easter” for all offices, both public and private, corporations under Sindh government administrative control, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, and autonomous bodies.
