Following an extension of his deadline to pay the bail in the New York Civil Fraud case, former US President Donald Trump disclosed his future plans.
Trump stated on Monday that he “might” use his own funds for the 2024 presidential campaign—something he hasn’t done since 2016, according to NBC News.
At his 40 Wall Street skyscraper in Lower Manhattan, Trump told reporters, “I might do that,” but he also said, “It’s none of your business.”
Trump declared, “I have a great company and a lot of cash.” “I might spend a lot of money on my campaign.”
The 77-year-old Republican front-runner for president disclosed that he does not want to use his money for his campaign. This comes from New York Judge Arthur F. Engoron, who decided that Trump would be required to pay a $464 million verdict in the state’s civil fraud case.
Saying, “They don’t want me taking cash out,” Trump appeared to be alluding to Engoron as well as Attorney General of New York Letitia James.
Following his departure from Manhattan court for a hearing in his criminal case in New York, where Judge Juan Merchan decreed that the trial will start on April 15, Trump made these remarks.
Furthermore, a state appeals court reduced the initial $464 million judgment that was due on Monday and let Trump and his co-defendants 10 days to post a $175 million bail.
With the exception of a $10 million gift made before to his election, Trump has not contributed any of his personal funds to any of his presidential campaigns since 2016. He made this claim last week in a post on his Truth Social website. Trump claims to have approximately $500 million in cash set up for his 2024 campaign.
Rather, he depends on modest internet contributions to fuel his political endeavors.
