A US Navy ship docks in Pakistan and engages in a naval drill with the Pakistani Navy

On Thursday, the US Navy ship USS INDIANAPOLIS, a Freedom Class Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), stopped at Karachi Port and engaged in a naval exercise alongside the Pakistani Navy.

Senior Pakistan Navy officers met the US Navy Ship upon its arrival in Karachi, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Aside from organizing and coordinating meetings for the joint maritime exercise, activities during the visit included professional interactions with PN officials and the ship’s crew through roundtable talks on current concerns.

To improve communication between the two militaries, the Pakistan Navy Ship ALAMGIR conducted a sea exercise at sea with a visiting US Navy ship while carrying a helicopter on board.

The goal of the marine exercise was to improve professional abilities by working together and sharing knowledge.

According to official policy, the Pakistan Navy has always made a substantial contribution to high seas safety, security, and freedom of navigation.

Regarding this, the Pakistan Navy commitment to safe and secure waters for the shared goal of peace and stability in the area is demonstrated by its involvement in Coalition Maritime Forces operations since 2004 and its Regional Maritime Security Patrol.
