The government lowered the price of fuel by Rs. 14 and the HSD by Rs. 13.50 a liter

The decrease occurred after a decline in the global price of crude oil and an increase in the value of the Pakistani rupee about the US dollar.

The Finance Division has announced a reduction in the kerosene oil of Rs. 10.14 and a reduction in the tariffs of light-diesel oil (LDO) of Rs. 11.29 per litre.

It said that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (Ogra) suggestion led to a decrease in the price of petroleum products. The price of a litre of Fuel has dropped from Rs.281.34 to Rs.267.34 following the cut.

Reduced petrol prices of over Rs13 per litre are probable

Compressed natural gas (CNG) is primarily replaced by petrol in vehicles and motorcycles. This is particularly true in the Punjab province, where retail CNG stations do not sell native gas.

In a similar vein, the price of HSD per litre has been reduced from Rs289.71 to Rs276.21. Since HSD is mostly used in the transportation and agricultural industries, this price drop could somewhat reduce inflation.

While LDO was available for Rs164.64 per litre, the new price of kerosene oil, whose use rises dramatically during winters in rural locations, was Rs191.02 per litre.

Stoves frequently use kerosene oil, especially in rural and isolated locations like the nation’s north. Kerosene oil is also extensively used by the Pakistan Army.
