While on tour in the United States, Pakistani singing sensation Atif Aslam has won over millions of devoted admirers with his recent show of support for Gaza during a live performance. An ecstatic admirer pelted the legendary performer with cash notes while he performed in a social media video that quickly went viral.

As soon as possible, Aslam stopped performing and said to his admirer, “My friend, instead of showering me with money, you can donate it.” He acknowledged the fan’s generosity by inviting him onto the stage and urging him to donate the funds to a charity cause. The Aadat singer recently came forth to generously donate PKR15 million toward vital food and medical supplies for Gaza, Palestine, in a moving show of support. The charitable organization to which the artist donated graciously thanked him for his generosity at a time when the area was experiencing a humanitarian catastrophe.

The performer also discussed how he encourages other musicians to strive to imitate his unique singing style in an interview with Connect FM Canada. “I consider it an honor that someone is attempting to sing your song and capture your style; it’s a source of great privilege,” the man said. “This is generating income for someone; the covers support him.” That it’s assisting individuals in this way is incredible,” he continued.
