Avinash “Tiger” Singh Rathore disclosed in his official statement to the world two weeks ago that after 20 years of service, his story of being a hero was being changed. Tiger, who is now regarded as the country’s top opponent, informs everyone in India that the people will tell his son that the spy was not the traitor they were portraying him as, but rather a hero.

The Tiger 3 trailer shows a stranger hiding in the shadows, threatening to strip Avinash of everything he values after the events of Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan. Avinash is presently a contented husband to Zoya (Katrina Kaif), with whom he has a son. “Tiger and Zoya are back, this time to defend their family and the nation. The YouTube trailer’s description reads, “This time, it’s personal. Of course, the “personal” aspect in question is the fact that Tiger is the target of a “terrorist” who also happens to be Pakistani.

Emraan Hashmi, who greets the viewer with a scruffy white beard and the words “Welcome to Pakistan,” at the end of the trailer, must be a Muslim living in Pakistan. It was agreed to omit the prayer hat, kohl-covered eyes, and liberal use of “janaab,” but hey, this is just the trailer. When the movie opens in theaters on November 12th, the crew might not let audiences down.

It would be an understatement to say that the offering is every Salman Khan fan’s dream come true. Salman portraying Tiger is healthy and muscular, and he spends a significant amount of the video holding a rifle. In Tiger’s instance, the cycle of vengeance is framed as his putting the man who is seeking retribution against him in his place. If the agenda-driven fight wasn’t already enough, Salman’s wife Katrina stands by his side. With this movie, the meme-makers who keep splicing together videos of the ex-couple are sure to have a field day.

Emraan versus Salman as a microcosm of the continuing conflict between Pakistan and India makes for an exciting trailer, at least for the team’s Indian audience. It promises action and romance. While Pakistani fans may groan and lament yet another movie that portrays their country as the villains, if the gripping, drama-filled trailer is to be believed, it might be worth watching.
