The next movie by Dangal filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari is another rendition of the Ramayana, a Hindu epic. The director has cast South Indian actors Yash and Sai Pallavi, together with Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, to portray the Hindu gods Ram, Ravan, and Sita, respectively.

Currently, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol are playing major roles in Ranbir’s Forthcoming Film Animal. The Tamasha actor, who has received praise for his portrayal of a gangster in the next movie, is reportedly already preparing for the part of a lifetime as Ram.

It was recently reported that Alia Bhatt declined the role after previously having discussions with the production team for the three-part silver screen adaptation of the Ramayana. According to the article, Alia withdrew from the production in which her husband plays the Hindu deity Ram due to “date issues.”
